Brothers Don and Lee Marklein began building homes in 1959 in the evenings while working at the General Motors plant in Janesville during the day. As word of their quality work spread, they quickly left GM to build homes full time and form Marklein Builders. For over 60 years Marklein Builders has built homes in many of Rock County’s premier neighborhoods throughout Janesville, Edgerton, Evansville and Beloit.
